요한복음 7 : 28 - 39

요한 7 : 28 예수께서 성전에서 가르치시며 외쳐 이르시되 너희가 나를 알고 내가 어디서 온 것도 알거니와 내가 스스로 온 것이 아니니라 나를 보내신 이는 참되시니 너희는 그를 알지 못하나 

요한 7 : 29 나는 아노니 이는 내가 그에게서 났고 그가 나를 보내셨음이라 하시니 

요한 7 : 30 그들이 예수를 잡고자 하나 손을 대는 자가 없으니 이는 그의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라 

요한 7 : 31 무리 중의 많은 사람이 예수를 믿고 말하되 그리스도께서 오실지라도 그 행하실 표적이 이 사람이 행한 것보다 더 많으랴 하니 

요한 7 : 32 예수에 대하여 무리가 수군거리는 것이 바리새인들에게 들린지라 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 그를 잡으려고 아랫사람들을 보내니 

요한 7 : 33 예수께서 이르시되 내가 너희와 함께 조금 더 있다가 나를 보내신 이에게로 돌아가겠노라 

요한 7 : 34 너희가 나를 찾아도 만나지 못할 터이요 나 있는 곳에 오지도 못하리라 하시니 

요한 7 : 35 이에 유대인들이 서로 묻되 이 사람이 어디로 가기에 우리가 그를 만나지 못하리요 헬라인 중에 흩어져 사는 자들에게로 가서 헬라인을 가르칠 터인가 

요한 7 : 36 나를 찾아도 만나지 못할 터이요 나 있는 곳에 오지도 못하리라 한 이 말이 무슨 말이냐 하니라 

요한 7 : 37 명절 끝날 곧 큰 날에 예수께서 서서 외쳐 이르시되 누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라 

요한 7 : 38 나를 믿는 자는 성경에 이름과 같이 그 배에서 생수의 강이 흘러나오리라 하시니 

요한 7 : 39 이는 그를 믿는 자들이 받을 성령을 가리켜 말씀하신 것이라 (예수께서 아직 영광을 받지 않으셨으므로 성령이 아직 그들에게 계시지 아니하시더라)

John 7 : 28 While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he called out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I'm not here on my own. The one who sent me is true, and you don't know him. 

John 7 : 29 But I know him because I come from him, and he sent me to you." 

John 7 : 30 Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time① had not yet come. / ①Greek his hour 

John 7 : 31 Many among the crowds at the Temple believed in him. "After all," they said, "would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?" 

John 7 : 32 When the Pharisees heard that the crowds were whispering such things, they and the leading priests sent Temple guards to arrest Jesus. 

John 7 : 33 But Jesus told them, "I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me. 

John 7 : 34 You will search for me but not find me. And you cannot go where I am going." 

John 7 : 35 The Jewish leaders were puzzled by this statement. "Where is he planning to go?" they asked. "Is he thinking of leaving the country and going to the Jews in other lands?① Maybe he will even teach the Greeks! / ①Or the Jews who live among the Greeks? 

John 7 : 36 What does he mean when he says, `You will search for me but not find me,' and `You cannot go where I am going'?" 

John 7 : 37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, "Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 

John 7 : 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, `Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'"① / ①Or "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. For the Scriptures declare, `Rivers of living water will flow from the heart of anyone who believes in me.'

John 7 : 39 (When he said "living water," he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
